This itinerary combines the Caves Itinerary, the imposing Cachoeira do Buracão, and the extensive Vale do Pati trek over three days and two nights — the ultimate immersion in Chapada Diamantina.
After experiencing the classic sights and Buracão, we delve into the valley: hiking across the open 'gerais' and to scenic viewpoints, swimming in waterfalls, and overnight stays in local families' homes, enjoying freshly prepared regional cuisine.
Chapada's most stunning waterfall and Brazil's most celebrated trek, combined with the region's classics — five intense and unforgettable days.

Day 1
Departure 8:30 AM · Return 6:30 PM · Lunch Included · Moderate Difficulty. We depart from Lençóis for Gruta da Lapa Doce, an expansive limestone cave adorned with stalactites and stalagmites. After exploring the cave, we enjoy a homemade regional lunch, followed by a visit to Fazenda Pratinha — a complex of crystal-blue waters perfect for swimming — and the incredible Gruta Azul. On our return, we ascend Morro do Pai Inácio to witness Chapada's most iconic sunset view.
Day 2
Departure 5:45 AM · Return 7:30 PM · Trail Snack Included · Moderate Difficulty. After breakfast, we drive to the town of Ibicoara to experience the majestic Cachoeira do Buracão — an approximately 80-meter-high cascade plunging into a deep pool within narrow canyons, located at the southern tip of Serra do Sincorá.
Day 3
Depart 08:00 · Return 18:30 · Trail lunch included · Intense level. We drive from Lençóis to Vila do Guiné, navigating both paved and off-road sections. Our trek begins across the Gerais do Rio Preto, offering incredible views, opportunities for river swims, and a snack stop before reaching Mirante do Vale. We'll spend the night and dine at a local family's home, enjoying a regional buffet. Approximately 9 km of hiking.
Day 4
Depart 08:00 · Return 18:30 · Trail lunch included · Intense level. Following a hearty breakfast, we explore Cachoeiras dos Funis, do Lajedo, and das Bananeiras, before ascending Morro do Castelo. Here, we'll be rewarded with incredible mountain-top views and traverse a cave. We hike an average of 12 km, carrying only light day packs. Overnight and dinner are at a local family's home.
Day 5
Depart 08:00 · Return 18:30 · Trail lunch included · Intense level. After breakfast, we proceed to Cachoeirão por cima, where numerous waterfalls cascade into a canyon over 200 meters high. We'll enjoy river swims and a hearty trail lunch. Upon reaching Aleixos, an agency vehicle will be waiting for our return to Lençóis.
