1st Day: On arrival in Lençóis /  Visit to the Muritiba Municipal Park

 

Pick up at the Airport or Bus Station in Lençóis

 

The Muritiba Municipal Park is located right at the edge of the town of Lençóis. A light walk will bring you to the waterfalls and cascades of the Lençóis River. Your first stop will be the Serrano natural pools – perfect for a refreshing dip, with a beautiful view of the town below – then continuing on through the park to visit the Colored Sand Caves, the Halley Pool, and the Primavera Waterfall, with various places to swim, beautiful waterfalls, and a fantastic overlook high above the town of Lençóis. On the way back, you will enjoy the crystalline waters of the Cachoeirinha waterfall.

2nd Day: Lençóis - Pati Valley

 

You will leave by car from Lençóis to the little town of Guiné, at first on an asphalt highway and then off-road. The trail itself begins just outside Guiné, and passes over the Gerais do Rio Preto plain, with wonderful mountain views, bathing in clean mountain rivers and, of course, stops for lunch and snacks. The trail leads to the impressive overlook of Pati Valley, with its unequaled view of the entire region. You will sleep in the houses of native inhabitants that have been adapted to receive visitors in very comfortable manners – with buffet dinners of delicious regional dishes.

 

Distance by car: 80 km total  (30 Km off-road)

Walking distance: 11 km total between attractions 

Bathing: Preto River

 

3rd Day: Castelo Mountain and Waterfalls

 

After a fortifying breakfast, you will visit the Funis Waterfall, the Lajedo Waterfall, and Castelo Mountain (with its incredible view, and a crossing of a mysterious cavern). The walks will cover about 12 km, but without the necessity of carrying any weight. You'll eat dinner and sleep in the houses of native residents.

4th Day: Cachoeirão Waterfall

 

Today you will visit the Cachoeirão Waterfall from below, with invigorating bathing in the natural pools formed by the Cachoeirão River. The rock-hopping trail follows the rocky riverbed, with stops for bathing and snacks. You will spend the night in the houses of native inhabitants, with a delicious dinner centered around local dishes.

Bathing: Riachinho Waterfall

 

5th Day: Pati Valley - Capão – Lençóis

 

Leaving Pati, you will hike towards the little town of Capão over the Gerais dos Vieiras. During the entire walk you'll be surrounded by the high mountains of the Chapada Diamantina with its beautiful landscapes and stops for bathing and lunch. The total hike is about 22 km. Arriving at the trail head, just outside of Bomba, a car will be waiting to take you to Lençóis.

6th Day: Return

 

Transfer to the airport or the Lençóis bus station
