Marimbus: the wetland of Chapada Diamantina

Calm water, water birds and a quilombola community: what the canoe trip through Marimbus in Chapada Diamantina is like.

Por Chapada Soul Team · · 2 min de leitura

Marimbus is known as the wetland of Chapada Diamantina: a flooded area of calm water, aquatic vegetation and abundant birdlife, very different from the ranges and waterfalls elsewhere in the region. The trip is made by canoe, starting from a quilombola community, and shows a quieter, more contemplative side of Chapada.
